A team from Seras conquered the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise funds for one of our partner charities, Andy’s Man Club.

Seras’s People Forum and charity representatives organised the fundraising initiative which saw eleven staff members take part in the challenge.

The event is a 24-mile circular walk including three peaks in the Yorkshire dales. The Seras team completed it in about 10.5 hours, which was over 65,000 steps.

Andy’s Man Club facilitates groups where men aged 18 and above can speak openly about their issues in a non-judgmental environment through shared experiences. Groups run nationwide every Monday 7pm except bank holidays and are completely volunteer led with no charge to any man.

Neil Spencer, Seras’s Commercial Director, who took part in the event, said: “Our operational and transport colleagues have seen over the years how mental health can be a real issue across our predominantly male sector. From tramper drivers who are away for days on end to yard staff working hard in the cold and dark, our sector can be a challenging and lonely place at times. This challenge was a great opportunity to get a team together and help support Andy’s Man Club, a fantastic charity which champions men’s mental health”.

The team raised over £2000 for Andy’s Man Club.
